How long does a website take?
Most Starter sites are live in about 2 weeks and Business sites in 3 to 4 weeks. The biggest factor is gathering your text and photos, and I can help with both.
I already have a Wix, Squarespace or WordPress site. Can you help?
Yes. I can improve what you have, or redesign it on something faster and cheaper to run. The free website check will tell you which makes more sense.
What are the ongoing costs?
Usually just your domain name, which is a small yearly fee. Many small business sites can be hosted for very little or nothing. The care plan is optional.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes. I'll show you how to change text, photos and hours. If you'd rather not, the care plan covers small changes every month.
Do I need the AI features?
No, they're optional. Every website works great without them. If your business gets lots of repeat questions or after-hours enquiries, an AI assistant can save you time and catch leads you'd otherwise miss.
Can you make it bilingual?
Yes. I can build English and French versions of your website with a language switch.
Will my site meet Ontario accessibility rules (AODA)?
I build to WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard AODA refers to: readable contrast, keyboard navigation, image descriptions and properly labelled forms.
Do you only work with businesses in Ottawa?
No. I'm based in Ottawa and happy to meet locally, but I work with small businesses anywhere in Canada over phone and video.
